Don’t be this person at the party

Picture this…You’re at a party. You’re catching up with friends and getting introduced to new people. Then you meet them. That one person at the party who does nothing but talk about themselves. They take no interest in you—or anybody else—and, instead of partaking in an enjoyable interaction, you find yourself looking for the quickest escape route. That lesson can be applied to your content marketing as well: you never want to be that person at the party. You don’t want to just churn out content that’s entirely focused on your space and your services.Instead, make it a dialogue where you listen to your audience, understand what matters to them, and reciprocate with things that bring them value.Remember, your goal is to capture the attention of your audience. And the currency of attention is value. While it’s fine to talk about yourself sometimes, the person at the party who only talks about themselves is the person nobody wants to talk to.
