Hi. I'm Taylor Mason, the guy behind Talemaker.

This page is about me, but the whole site is about you. I just figured if you're going to trust me with your email and content, you should know who's on the other end.

In 2016, I was eight years into a public relations career. I'd planned and executed six and seven-figure campaigns for global brands, and managed a team along the way. The job wasn't great. It was high stress, but I got really good at being dynamic, learning new industries, and juggling a million flaming torches at once.

The truth is I was a terrible employee. I always knew I wanted to do my own thing. The opportunity just hadn't shown up yet.

Then I met Kevin Whelan at a dog park. It was 6am, snowing, and we got to talking. He had some writing he needed help with, which turned out to be for a coworking operator. I had no idea coworking was an industry. I took the work, did a good job, and the side hustle started getting busier. Talemaker was officially born in 2017.

A year later, I was out of PR.

I joined a coworking space, partly to get out of my home office and partly to see what the fuss was about. I got it almost immediately. It wasn't just office space. It was the kind of environment that lets independent operators and small businesses actually grow.

That's when I went all-in on coworking. If I could help operators win, I'd be helping more business owners like me get the kind of support I'd just discovered. Help operators grow, and they help more members grow. Help more members grow, and the industry grows. Bigger pie, more for everyone. Win, win, win. That's still the thesis.

Help operators grow, and they help more members grow. Help more members grow, and the industry grows.

How this has evolved.

When I started, I was a copywriter. Then a content strategist. Then a small agency with full-time staff and contractors handling everything from blog content to social to email.

Plenty has changed since then. Coworking grew up, AI changed the game entirely, and operators started asking for different kinds of help.

So, I evolved too. Talemaker isn't an agency anymore, and there's no team or employees behind the curtain.

Ultimately, it's just me, and a few expert contractors, helping you grow your business through content marketing.

If you've made it this far.

If anything I've said resonates, I'd love to talk. The discovery call is free, 30 minutes, no pitch. Just a conversation about your business and whether what I do makes sense for what you're trying to do.

If we wind up working together, I'll be thrilled to treat your business with the same care as I do my own. If not, you'll still walk away knowing more about your business, content, or email than you did before.

I'm here to help, whether it's a chat or a collaborative engagement.
