Are you writing to your audience’s knowledge level?

When you’re writing content, it’s important to make sure you’re catering to your audience’s knowledge level. This can apply to content intended to educate your audience about coworking or about your space. It can also apply to content that’s designed to be helpful and valuable from a personal or professional perspective. So, how can you write content that caters to your audience’s knowledge level?By understanding who they are, down to a tee.If you’re writing things that are way too basic, they won’t be learning anything new so they’ll get bored and won’t read it.And if you’re writing things that are far above their level of knowledge or expertise, they’ll be out of their depth, won’t be able to use your content, and also won’t read it.So, here’s what to do:

  • Take a look at your audience—their job titles, industries, roles, and more
  • When you’re creating content for them, think about their level of expertise on the topic at hand
  • Make sure you’re writing things that will be useful for someone of their level, answering specific questions they have, and providing insights they can use and understand

It’s a balancing act, but the better you know your audience, the better you’ll be able to achieve it.
